Hope I can help with this,

Logically, any current capable amp comfortable with 4ohm loads should be able to do it. In my case, I powered my 83dB 3.7-5.9ohm Apogee Slant6es with the following amps with good results. NAD 2700THX(150watts),McCormack DNA-1(150watt), VAL MP2100(100watt tube), VTL MB-225(225watts tube), VTL MB-300(300 watt tube).

Other combinations I've personally heard with Maggies,

Classe CA-200, Krell KSA-200s.

Basically, I'd think that any smooth sounding solid state would do fine, but I think high powered tubes would sound best.:O)
